On episode 3 of the Men, Sex & Pleasure podcast, I chat with Kai Schweizer, a sexologist, sexual health educator, and Masters student. He has a specialist interest in trans and gender diverse sexual health, including dyspareunia, contraception, and HIV prevention. Kai is best known for his sexual health education work with queer young people. This is an eye opening conversation as Kai share's some of his personal story, including his gender transition, as well as some valuable insights into models of masculinity.
Today I had the pleasure of talking with someone who I consider both a mentor and friend, Dr. Simon Martin. He is a registered chiropractor and the founder of Heartschool. Simon has studied psychology and anatomy at Curtin University before completing his chiropractic degree at Murdoch University. He has had the opportunity to teach neurology at tertiary level as well as work in Singapore's Camden Medical Centre. Simon is sought after for his exceptional knowledge and skills in body-based practices and has shared the stage with new world pioneers of Tantra, Yoga, Shibari and Shamanism. This is was a very interesting conversation about trauma responses and how they manifest during sexuality work.
This was a super informative chat with engineer, author, film maker and life-long student of all things Tantra, Nicolas Spadaccini. He dropped a lot of practical knowledge about male bodies and multiple orgasms. Nic has a refreshingly open way of talking about the not so talked about parts of our sexual bodies. In 2016, he started writing the soon to be released book entitled, "Penises & Vaginas - A Users Manual." It's a hand guide to the basics about our sexual bodies that are often overlooked in our modern world. I really resonate with Nic's approach to sexuality work and always gain valuable insights whenever I chat with him.
